Pressure Washer Surface Cleaners

A surface cleaner is a housing with rotating jets underneath that you walk across a flat surface. It solves two problems a wand cannot. The first is speed: the spinning bar covers a fixed width in a continuous pass, where a wand cleans a narrow fan and depends on the operator overlapping it evenly. The second is the striping — the tiger-stripe pattern left on concrete when a wand's passes do not overlap perfectly. A surface cleaner produces an even result because the geometry, not the operator, controls the overlap.

Sizing is where most buyers get it wrong, and it works the opposite way to intuition. A wider cleaner is not automatically faster: the machine's flow and pressure are divided across the jets, so a housing too wide for your pressure washer cleans a bigger area badly. Match the cleaner's rated flow to the machine you actually own — an under-powered wide unit will leave you going over the same slab twice.

They suit concrete, asphalt and paved wash pads, and they are a natural pairing with a wash bay, where the floor gets as dirty as the vehicles. For heavily soiled or greasy floors, heat and the right degreaser do more than pressure alone. Indoor floors on a routine are usually better served by a floor scrubber than by anything on the end of a hose.
