Why This Soil Needs Different Chemistry
Cured asphalt and tar bond to steel and rubber in a way ordinary dirt doesn't — a standard degreaser won't touch it, which is why EZ Melt and C-Tar Melt exist as their own product category rather than a stronger version of everyday soap. The same goes for concrete: once overspray hardens on a chute, drum or form, it has to be dissolved with something like EZ Punch-Out or Chisel, or chipped off by hand, which is slower and risks the surface underneath.

Will a normal degreaser remove cured asphalt and tar?
No — standard degreasers are built for oil and grease, and cured asphalt or tar just won't release. EZ Melt and C-Tar Melt are formulated specifically to dissolve tar and asphalt, which is why they're a separate product line rather than a stronger version of everyday soap.
Can pressure washing alone remove hardened concrete overspray?
Not once it's cured. Pressure and water loosen fresh soil, but cured concrete has to be dissolved with something like EZ Punch-Out or Chisel, or chipped off by hand — chipping is slower and risks damaging the surface underneath.
