Pressure Washer Accessories

Most of what people call a performance problem is an accessory problem. A machine rated at 4 GPM and 3,000 PSI only delivers that at the surface if the nozzle orifice matches the pump, the hose is rated for the temperature, and the quick connects are not leaking pressure at every joint. Fit the wrong nozzle and you either lose cleaning power or drive the pump past its relief setting — the same machine, two very different results.

Three parts do most of the work. Nozzles set the spray angle and the orifice size, so they determine both impact and coverage — the colour code below is the industry standard. Surface cleaners replace a wand on flat concrete and asphalt, enclosing two or four rotating jets under a housing so a wash pad takes a fraction of the time and dries without the striping a wand leaves. Trigger guns, wands and hoses are the wear items — they fail in service, and hot water units need components rated for the temperature, not the cheapest replacement that fits.

In this region hard water is the other constant. Scale from dissolved minerals accumulates inside heating coils and unloaders, and it is the most common cause of gradual pressure and temperature loss we see on service calls. A descaling filter fitted on the inlet is far cheaper than the coil it protects. If a machine is already losing pressure, that is a repair question rather than an accessory one.
